When compared to the TRD, the XSE, the most sporty 2027 Camry Wagon, is far years ahead. That’s great news because the TRD, being a sort of tuner-special trim with an almost uncomfortable stiff ride, didn’t exactly embody the Camry Wagon’s mission statement. Even on the rough and noisy concrete roads of Southern California, the XSE’s 19-inch wheels manage to keep the ride surprisingly pleasant.
In the hills, there was a chance to test the Camry Wagon’s limits, but what really impressed me was how effortless it was to drive on the highway. To begin with, it moved calmly and efficiently through traffic. Additionally, the characteristic CVT drone was noticeably lacking whenever a burst of throttle was needed to execute a merging, take an exit, or maneuver around a sluggish truck.

The front-wheel-drive vehicle with the lowest wheel diameter achieved an official best of 4.5 L/100 km city and 4.7 L/100 km highway, while the XSE with its 19-inch alloys and 235-mm-wide tires achieved an official worst of 5.4 L/100 km city and 5.5 L/100 km highway.
Those of you who are accustomed to driving sedans powered only by internal combustion engines will not need to make any adjustments to operate this vehicle. With a full tank of gas, a front-drive automobile could potentially go 1,100 km without stopping. Identical to the previous generation, the trunk can accommodate 424 liters of cargo. There isn’t much feel, as is typical these days, but the adjustable driving modes make the wheel heavier. If you’re a Canadian, you’ll love the standard heated seats and steering wheel. Once you experience them, you won’t want to be without them. The 8-inch touchscreen has wireless CarPlay and Android Auto, as well as a wireless charging pad, so you won’t need any additional technology.
